Hi everyone. This is Lisa. Spring has finally arrived, and I hope you’re all enjoying the season.
If you’re looking for a relaxed Japanese spot, Izakaya Futago is honestly such a great choice. They have plenty of seating, the food is delicious, and you can enjoy dishes that feel a bit different from other izakayas. The “spoon sushi” was especially amazing. They also have a wide selection of drinks, so it’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than you planned.
You should definitely check it out!

Hi everyone, how has your spring been?
I had a wonderful time in Japan with my family and friends. One of my favorite foods was chicken sashimi. The restaurant told us it had to be eaten within 3 minutes, otherwise they would take it away. I thought that was funny and it tasted amazing!
The photo shows chicken tataki (lightly seared) and an “American dog” from FamilyMart. In Japan, we call corn dogs “American dogs,” which my boyfriend always laughs about.
Also, I’d like to share that Hair Story is offering 25% off for first-time clients through May 8th. If you’ve been thinking about trying Hairstory shampoo at home, this is a great time!

Hello everyone, this is Suzu!
This winter, I made miso again. Miso is usually prepared during the colder months to help prevent unwanted bacteria from growing. After making it, you simply let it ferment.
The fermentation period depends on the recipe, but the flavor and color change depending on how long it is aged. In the photo, the miso from left to right has been aged for 4 years, 2 years, and is freshly made. You can see how different the colors are.
Younger miso tastes sweeter, while longer-aged miso develops a richer and deeper flavor.
If you are interested, please give it a try. Making miso is easier than you might think.

Hi everyone this is Rei.
This is a product I’ve been using frequently on my clients lately. For those with curly hair, it beautifully defines your curls; for those with thick, straight hair, it adds volume and movement. It’s also highly recommended for clients with short hair—especially those whose hair lacks body or tends to fall flat! We stock Milbon products here at the salon, so if you’d like to give this (or any other item) a try, please feel free to let me know.

Hello everyone, it’s already hot in Houston!
I recently visited Junbi Matcha in the Asian Town area in Katy.
It’s a matcha café where you can enjoy a variety of flavors, as well as matcha coffee drinks.
This one is a strawberry matcha latte. it wasn’t overly sweet, and had a nice fruity flavor. So good!
If you’re in the area, definitely stop by and check it out.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to quickly introduce myself
My name is Haruka , and I’m your stylist here at the salon. I’ve recently made the big move to New York, and I’m super excited (and honestly still a little amazed) to be working with such amazing people in this city.
I’ve been doing hair for quite a while, and I really love creating styles that make people feel like the best version of themselves , whether that’s something effortless, bold, or completely new.
Outside of work, I’m usually hunting down good coffee, getting lost somewhere in the city, or trying to figure out how everything in NYC works.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know you more and being part of your hair journey here
See you soon in the chair,
Haruka
PS : Day off
tried a place a client recommended and enjoyed a solo glass of prosecco
